A Horse Called Dick
A slab built decorative plate with hand painted decoration and slip trail detailing. This piece has the most subtle colouring of my work.
Fun fact: Flying horse-like phalluses were apparently symbols of good luck in Roman times. Do as the Romans did.
Please note that this is a handmade art piece and so will have irregularities and a personality that commercial pottery will not. This piece is made from a professional grade white stoneware clay fired to 1250C. After a bisque fire, decoration was hand painted in a loose style with underglaze, finished with a transparent glossy glaze and fired for a second time.

This art piece is completely unique and has all of its own curves and bulges and perfect imperfections.

Design
Inspired and informed by traditional ceramic shapes, but slab, pinch or coil-built to create a modern take on a traditional vessel. Each piece is handmade and bisque-fired, then decorated with loose paintings on each piece to create an original work of art.
The illustrations are inspired by all sorts, including racy scenes on popular TV .
