Beach buoy
Romantic-style hand built trophy vase with painted imagery and slip trail detailing. This piece was inspired by a Jan van Eyck mural of Adam and Eve. Finished with transparent gloss glazing with a gorgeous shell-pink interior glaze.
Please note that this is a handmade art piece and so will have irregularities and a personality that commercial pottery will not. This piece is made from a professional grade white stoneware clay fired to 1250C after some parts were painted and decorated with pigmented slip. After a bisque fire, more decoration was hand painted in a loose style with underglaze, finished with a transparent glossy glaze and fired for a second time.

Inspired and informed by traditional ceramic shapes, but slab, pinch or coil-built to create a modern take on a traditional vessel. Each piece is handmade and bisque-fired, then decorated with loose paintings on each piece to create an original work of art.
The illustrations are inspired by all sorts, including racy scenes on popular TV .
